Sponsorship Support

Parish/Congregation Sponsorship

A parish/congregation obtains support for presenting the programs through the act of sponsoring the ministry through the Archdiocese of Santa Fe Marriage Enrichment Programs.  This ministry provides centralized support and coordination for ministry activities.  A sponsoring church makes a commitment to the ministry and to the people of God to follow the guidelines and develop a sustaining program.  After a sustaining program has been developed, a parish/congregation often helps to promote the ministry to other churches.  The goal is to develop a spirit of inter-parochial and  inter-denominational cooperation and support.

A sponsoring parish/congregation must not change or revise the programs, or use only part of the programs  for other purposes.  This ministry has developed over many years and integrates the experiences and reflections of many married couples, engaged couples, clergy, and religious.  Stated simply but directly, the programs "work" and their basic structure must not be changed.

The individuality and uniqueness of a specific parish/congregation can be easily expressed within the basic framework of the program.  This can be done without compromising or modifying the program itself.  Some of the items that can be integrated into the basic structure, to meet and reflect specific church needs and traditions, include flexibility in choice of music, prayers/meditations, banners and posters, literature, and meals.

Sponsorship Commitment and Costs

To formally sponsor the ministry, a parish/congregation must submit a Ministry Sponsorship form.  A copy of this form is in Forms section.  It is completed and submitted before planning is initiated for the first program presentation.

There are five main costs to those sponsoring the ministry:

  1. Information Kit: Starting and promoting the ministry.
  2. Materials Kit: Needed for team preparation and program presentation
  3. Presentation Expenses: Organizing and presenting a program.
  4. Program Fee/Donation: This supports the ministry and is sent to the ministry office after each program presentation.
  5. Materials Replenishment: As needed for an on-going program.

These costs are outlined in Section on Costs
