Leaders & Co-Leaders


The leaders and co-leaders for program presentations are married couples.  They have responsibility for the presentation that they are assigned.  The leader couple directs and leads the program.  The co-leader couple coordinates the support functions and becomes the leader couple for the next presentation.  Together, they ensure that the team and the presentation process follow the program and ministry guidelines. These couples are temporary members of the Parish/Congregation Steering Committee during the time of their commitment as leaders and co-leaders.  They work with the other members of the steering committee in the planning, implementation, and follow-up activities.  Ideally, they should have previously experienced the program.

They also complete the  Ministry Leadership form.

Other responsibilities include

Leader Couple:

  • Accept the program as it is - do not change it.
  • Select the team with the steering committee, and follow their recommendations.
  • Ensure that each team member/couple has a copy of the program books.
  • Involve co-leaders in planning and execution of the presentation.
  • For a Weekend, assist the steering committee with the Weekend Formation Process Workshop.
  • Direct the program presentation  -  both husband and wife.
  • Follow up after the presentation and help evaluate the presentation with the steering committee.
  • Serve as leaders for only one program presentation in their church.
  • Be available to help with other aspects of the ministry, such as leading follow-up activities.

Co-Leader Couple:

  • Work with the leader couple in all aspects of the presentation.
  • Assume responsibility for the support functions.
  • Plan and coordinate prayer rituals.
  • Serve as time keepers and ensure that the presentation stays on schedule.
  • Assume leadership for the next program presentation.
