The Ministry Board of Directors provides central coordination for the programs and ministry. This includes help with starting and maintaining the program(s). Parishes/Congregations obtain sponsorship for the ministry through The Archdiocese of Santa Fe Family Life Ministry Office. (please see Sponsorship Section).
These programs are designed to strengthen and enrich the relationship between a man, a woman and God during the couple’s marriage journey through the Sacrament of Marriage. This is accomplished through a set of parish-based programs for married couples, engaged couples, and youth. The programs' marriage formation processes start with self and then progress to include spouse, family and community, with God as an integral part of all relationships.
The sponsoring church steering committee selects the leaders and co-leaders for a program presentation. They work together in selecting the team members (please see Leadership Section).
The marriage formation processes and step-by-step details of how to present the programs are in the respective program books (please see Materials Section).
There are several administrative procedures used to provide coordination of ministry activities. They include:
Notification of Presentation: The sponsoring church submits a Program Notification form seveal momths before the presentation of a program. This form is in the Materials/Forms Section. Information from this form is posted on the Ministry Events Calander on this website.
Roster and Program Summary: Information from the Participant Registration forms is assimilated into a program presentation Roster. It lists the participants, team, and program church steering committee. A copy of the Roster is forwarded to the to the ministry office following the presentation via the internet connections in the Materials/Rosters Section. A sample Roster is also in that section. In addition, a Program Summary form is to be completed and submitted. It is in the Materials/Forms Section.
Information Database: The ministry maintains a database with information from the Rosters and Program Summary forms. This information is often helpful to church steering committees when planning program presentations and follow-up activities. This information is used only by the ministry.
